Following the success of a previous job, 3C Metal Asia engaged Weldtech Oilfield Services to deploy full local personnel consist of team supervisor, ABS qualified welders, boilermaker, scaffolding crew, and NDT technician to support the RMR Structural Integration scope at Valaris MS-1 during Q2 2022.

Weldtech supplied all necessary project tools and hot work consumables to support the entire project scope.

This second project collaboration resulted in a success achievement and delivered safely with zero LTI’s

This scope included:

  • Installation of two new diagonal braces under the LARS deck platform to replace the existing singular brace.
  • Fabrication and installation pedestal bracket to accommodate new diagonal braces.
  • Installation of gussets and stiffeners underneath the LARS deck platform.
  • All materials were ABS approved and welds were 100% MT/UT tested.
  • Sea Fastening of two PCC container beams and LARS grillage.
